Mark Rider is a voice actor who has a knack for narrating stories of adventure, danger, and discovery. He is the voice behind many National Geographic television shows, such as Smoky Mountain Money, Cocaine Crackdown, Cooking Alaska, and Texas Outlaws1. He is also the signature promo voice of the American Heroes Channel, the San Diego Chargers football team, and the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team1. Mark Rider was born in Chicago, Illinois, and started his career in radio as a morning show host in various cities. He won several awards for his radio work, including the American Country Music Award and the Colorado Broadcasters Association Award1. He is married, has two sons and three dogs, and enjoys racing greyhounds on foot1. Mark Rider is a voice of many talents and a master of storytelling.

Rider is an in demand voice by the Promo industry and has been the signature voice of Nascar on NBC, CW Network’s hit shows Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl as well as the MLB on FS1 & Fox Sports, Paramount Network’s Movie voice, the American Heroes Channel, Epix, the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, the San Antonio Spurs NBA team, the Texas Rangers MLB team, and was the commercial voice of the San Diego Chargers for 7 seasons.
Rider has been a story teller since he was a little kid, always being the first to raise his hand to read aloud from a book. Today his story telling skills are being called upon by networks such as Discovery Channel, National Geographic, History, Animal Planet, Great American Country, DIY, MAV TV, the Outdoor Channel and HGTV.
Discovery Channel tasked Rider to narrate a special 2 hour show for Shark Week 2015 called, “Shark Planet.” The feature was the most watched cable show of the night garnering 2.7 million viewers.
He was also the voice of Fox Sports Florida for 5 years doing daily promo work for their affiliates in Miami, Tampa, & Orlando. His voice was even used by the NASCAR Hall of Fame to induct the class of 2012.
In the commercial world companies such as Ski Doo, Evinrude, Mountain Dew, Dickie’s Clothing, Tax Slayer, Supercuts, Best Buy and the country’s largest golf instruction school Golftec have used Rider’s voice for worldwide and national projects.
